Q & A

I have been guiding in the high mountains since 1995... A long time!

UIAGM/IFMGA High Mountain Guide - ISIA/ISTD Ski and Snowboard Teacher/Performance Coach

My first mentors in the guiding world were Chamonix based guides Dave Cumming and Ralf Tenbrink. I think I owe most of what I do today to these guys. I am also constantly learning from, and influenced by, all of my fellow professionals who share my passion for the mountains.

Every season I try to explore new locations and expand my horizons. For 2017/18 I'm adding a new Splitboarding Voyager trip to Japan, which I'm really looking forward to! I'll also have some new locations at home in the Alps on the calendar.  The Pyrenees have always intrigued me, this season I'll be running a few programs there, possibly mixing in some surfing on the west coast. Later in the winter I plan to head up north for my annual Norway, Sweden, and Iceland Splitboard Voyager trips which are always incredible. It's looking like a very exciting season; I'm pretty stoked about all of it!
