Born in Kauai and raised in Lake Tahoe Elena’s life has always centered around board sports. During her 16 years on the professional halfpipe circuit, she etched a place for herself in the history books as the first snowboarder to do a double ally oop rodeo in competition, a 2x Winter Olympian, and 7 X-Games medalist.

In 2018 Elena retired from competitive halfpipe riding to pursue big mountain snowboarding. She quickly became one of the most celebrated females in the space. Starring in multiple highly celebrated films including HBO’s Edge of The Earth. Gracing the cover of Slush the Mag and Snowboard Magazine, and winning the coveted Natural Selection backcountry event.

As one of the only women doing a large portion of her backcountry access completely human-powered, she continues to set herself apart from her peers. With no inclination of slowing down her sights are set on continuing to raise the bar in the big mountain world, inspire more people to spend time in nature, and advocate for the places that she plays.
