Freeride Mountaineering
FREEMO is a 3-part documentary series featuring Rafael Pease and different guests that join him to splitboard in Alaska and Chile.
Episode 1: Silver Lining
In the first installment of this 3-part series, Nat Murphy heads up to AK to splitboard and explore with Rafa. The first mission doesn't turn out as planned but a big storm arrives just in time for the two to score good turns and ride a few big lines.
Episode 2: The Northman
In the second installment of this 3-part series, Krister Kopala joins Rafa in AK for two weeks of big-mountain splitboarding and glacier camping. The two also impress with their igloo and glacier architecture skills.
Episode 3:
In episode 3 of season 1, the crew gets snowed in. They make it onto the glacier and then a five-day storm turns into a two-week storm. They exhaust themselves digging out camp all day and night. When a short weather window opens for them to bail, they have to take it. No splitboarding in this one, just a monster storm.
